Burn: On the front lines in Detroit

Comments

  • This film moved me to tears. I was born and lived here in Detroit all my life. I am an Asst. Fire Dispatcher and see these men and women go out everyday to fight to save lives, property and a city that’s trying to be saved. But we can’t do it alone. We need our citizens to help. I pray every night that the young will listen and see that it’s not profitable to burn your city to the ground, commit these hard working fire fighters to death or injury. To harm and even kill those still strong enough to survive here. God Bless you and yours for this film. It is a wake up call for Detroit. I will be one sending a donation and pray that this film gets through to the ones doing the harm. My final note is sent to those firefighters, I thank you from the bottom of my heart! And will continue to pray for your safety and be right beside you in spirit while you’re rushing to the front.

  • All I can say is that this is an awe inspiring film of what it is like in the City of Detroit. I believe the story of this documentary needs to be told for the people of it’s own city and people in other places. I have a friend who is a former fire cadet (DFD )from the good ole days. I have been on the fireground with this guy and sees how he does it Detroit style. We are both volunteer firefighter’s in the state of Georgia. When I’m able I will be sending a donation for this film and maybe you can send me a copy of this incredible work. Thanks!
